The Souls of Aredyrah is a series of fantasy novels written for
readers from young adult to adult. Set in the island world of Aredyrah, the story examines individuals and societies caught in a web of isolationism and deceit. Once united in celebration, the inhabitants of
Aredyrah are now divided. An ancient cataclysm has claimed their histories and spawned religions founded on mythologies. But when two boys from opposing cultures meet, they discover some unwelcome truths. The
beliefs they have been raised on are nothing more than lies, and should they reveal them, they risk not only their own lives, but the stability of their world.
Four books are planned:
Book One: The Fire and the Light
Dayn and Ruairi, two boys from very different cultures, discover they
are bound to each other not only by blood, but by the prophecy that will either draw their world into enlightenment, or plunge it into further darkness.
First edition, October 2006, Ruadora Publishing
Second edition, February 2011, Ruadora Publishing
Book Two: The Search for the Unnamed One
The saga continues as Dayn and Reiv (Ruairi) face the prophecy that
tries to define them and a regime that seeks to destroy them.
Second edition, March 2011, Ruadora Publishing
Book Three: The Taking of the Dawn
Dayn and Reiv face more turmoil as the truth about their world threatens those in power, and the
bringers of that truth are named as heretics.
First edition, July 2011, Ruadora Publishing
Book Four: The Shifting of the Stars
In the fourth and final installment of the series, Reiv and Dayn find themselves facing not only
an old foe, but a new one. The Taubastets, a race previously unknown to them, have woven them into a life-or-death scenario, and should they fail, the salvation of every soul could be at risk.
With the king of Tearia on the verge of attacking the peaceful valley of Oonayei, Tyym, a Taubastet warrior vows to see his duty done. But when Dayn’s sister Alicine walks into his life,
Tyym discovers a bump in his path. A demon is approaching. Souls are at stake. Will the affairs of the heart have to wait?
